Sackboy For PC Is Only $12.59 At Amazon, PS5 Special Edition With Plush Is $50
Get Sackboy for cheap on PC, or pick up a PS4 bundle that comes with an adorable plushie.
The adorable Sackboy: A Big Adventure is now available on PC for just $12.59 (was $60) at Amazon, one of its lowest prices ever. It’s offered as a Steam key, though you’ll need to be an Amazon Prime member to cash in on the massive discount. If you're not already a member, consider signing up to earn free shipping, access to Prime Video, and other useful benefits.
Along with support for 4K resolutions, this version of the game supports 21:9 ultra-widescreen setups, runs at up to 120fps, can be played with a variety of gamepads beyond the DualSense, and offers DLSS when played on GeForce RTX graphics cards. That’s a lot of cool features for PC players--and at this rock-bottom price, it’s an easy recommendation for anyone seeking a family-friendly platformer. Our Sackboy: A Big Adventure review gave the game a solid 7/10, praising its tight controls, catchy soundtrack, and a great variety of platforming challenges.
"Sackboy is a solid platformer and, despite its rote art style, makes great use of the PS5's enhanced visual and technical performance," wrote critic Mike Epstein. "It's a fun little romp of a platformer, with lots of interesting moments. At times, the visual design can look a bit flat. Even in those moments, though, the tight controls and interesting level layouts create gameplay challenges that make those flaws easy to overlook."
This isn’t the only version of the game getting a price cut ahead of the holidays, as you’ll also find Sackboy: A Big Adventure Special Edition for PS4 discounted to $50 (was $90). Along with a PS4 version of the game (and free PS5 upgrade), the Special Edition includes an adorable Sackboy plushie, making it a great holiday gift. The deal expires on Christmas, so check it out while you can.
If you’re not interested in the plush, then save yourself some money and pick up the standard edition of Sackboy: A Big Adventure on PS5 for $20 (was $60). That’s not quite as cheap as the PC version, but if you don’t have a PC that can handle the game, this version is a nice alternative. The price cut is available at both Best Buy and PS Direct.
